Gul Panag on Summer 2007

Arriving late to unveil a new collection of watches may not be the best way to put the message across, but Delhi girl Gul Panag seems to be slowly succumbing to Mumbai's pressures against punctuality.

"To be honest, I used to be very, very punctual once. I still like to believe that I still am. But I have begun to push the boundaries of punctuality to five to 10 minutes," she says.

Gul who has been a part of critically appreciated films like Dhoop and Dor, hasn't really hit big time yet. But the actress hopes her forthcoming releases Summer 2007 and Hello changes all that.

"In Summer 2007, I play a very serious character who is a sort of a activist. Her name is Vishaka. She comes from a very wealthy family but is extremely embarrassment of the family wealth whereas in Hello, I play a very glamorous girl Priyanka who is a call centre employee. Like all call centre employees, she starts earning so much money and spends it on herself," she says.

Meanwhile, her alleged affair with Anupam Kher's son Sikandar and buzz of some steamy scenes in the film Hello continues to keep this former Miss India Universe in the news.
