They were selected from among 28 finalists in the presence of prominent personalities from the field of fashion and Bollywood. The beauty paegant brought international fame to Sushmita Sen, Aishwarya Rai, Lara Dutta, Priyanka Chopra and Dia Mirza among others in recent years.The elimination rounds were interspersed with scintillating performances by Bollywood divas Kareena Kapoor, Bipasha Basu and Sameera Reddy. The performances were choreographed by ace choreographer Shiamak Davar.

All of them are wonderful people. It requires a lot of hard work and sacrifice to reach the stage of the beauty pageant. There can not be so many 1,2, & 3 but only three. Let us respect the selectors' verdict and wish the beauties all the best for their future endeavours. Best wishes to their parents who have been able to achieve their aim. They are winners coz they have done it differently, others are definitely not losers. Best of luck to all participants. God bless.

The girls are talented and beautiful. If people really don't cosider them as beauty queens & think themselves to be very beautiful than they can at least give it a try &see that how hard it is to just speak anything. Passing on comments is very easy always.

The girls look no where close to miss india material...Where are the aishs and the sushs...Come on india, we know you have outstanding beauties..Please go find them so you can share them with the rest of the world..These girls are so average looking, with average features..They don't even stand out in photographs, forget about the tvv

Parvathy omanakuttan, no doubt she is an intelligent girl. At the same time one needs the look, appearance, beauty also which she is lacking little bit to compete in international level. I know i am in usa, i watch miss universe every year, those latin girls, american, candaian and eurpean girls are so beautiful. If you take aaishwarya rai or sushmita sen.. Those two are equally intelligent as well as beautiful too, well balanced.

I think none of the winner's deserve to represent india, as there are millions of other females who are much more beautiful and intelligent than these. And of course none of them have a striking personality or the "factor" required 4 international paegants.
