REVIEW: Singh is Kinng
Anees Bazmee is back after Welcome. This time it’s the much-hyped film Singh is Kinng. There has been a lot of buzz around this project. This film even before it was completed fetched Akshay Kumar the tag of 'New king of Bollywood'. And yes, Akshay Kumar is brilliant, he excels in his role and all the hours that he spends labouring in the gym are clearly there for everybody to see. And it’s an enjoyable film.
But all the die-hard Anees Bazmee fans please beware. Anees has made a good film, a funny film. For those two hours and fifteen minutes you suspend rational thought and get your money’s worth. But whatever happens do not go in there expecting a No Entry or a Welcome. Once you’re clear that this film is not one of the director’s masterpieces and you are not likely to see it again and again (as you did with No Entry) you can put your feet up, pull out the popcorn and let the fun begin… [Singh is Kinng: Akshay rules]
The idea behind the film
Akshay Kumar plays Happy Singh a bumbling village idiot. But he’s a complete thorn-in-the-side where Rangeela (Om Puri) is concerned. So Rangeela hatches up a scheme where it becomes essential that the entire village will contribute funds and Happy Singh will be packed off to Australia. But as it often happens in real life, our most devious plans rebound on us! Poor Rangeela is forced to accompany Akshay Kumar to Australia.
The purpose of this exercise is simple. Lakhanpal or Lucky Singh a villager who migrated to Australia years ago has become a 'Kinng' of vice. These two goons hope that when they reach there they will convince him to give up his evil ways. What follows is a typical comedy of errors Bazmee style.
Bazmee has never hesitated to pick up an idea from another film and turn it around moving it with ease from one genre to another. No Entry released a short while after Main Hoon Na. Undoubtedly one of the most dramatic sequences in Main Hoon Na was the sequence where Zayed Khan is hanging from the roof. Cut to 'No Entry' where one of the best sequences was the entire climax with Anil Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, and Salman Khan hanging from a seaside cliff. That is Anees Bazmee in a nutshell.

Good &real dramatic film
You must be a really sad person not to have enjoyed this movie. The whole theatre was singing and dancing, and i've never seen the crowd so engaged ever in a theatre like this before. More dependable than any of the comments here is the reaction of the audience in the theatre and the boxoffice has been amazing too.
i thoroughly enjoyed the movie. It doesn't promise to be a masterpiece...It's a simple movie with a positive message trying to reach people's hearts and entertain them fully after a hard day at work. That's what i wanted and got. One of the best entertainers i've seen in a while and surely akshay's best performance.
Honestly i expected more from this film due to the hype surrounding it.. It was really disappointing especially considering akki's good run so far barring tashan..
sorry guys, singh is no kinng...Its just another ordinary timepass movie..Not worth goin to the theatre for it..Might as well wait for the tv premiere and watch it at home...Or better still, buy the dvd once it comes out and skip the boring parts and finish the movie in 1 hour..

To like or not like is a matter of ur choice but its true dat singh is kinng is really a blockbuster it will create history . The fans of akshay will enjoy it very much like me
I think that theflim is totaly superdoper hit and mindblowing also because their is my favorite actoress is in this flim.
I think the flim is mindblowing.Because akshay kumar has work hard for this flim and katrina too .But katrina is hardworking girl she has done batter then akshay kumar.
