MUSIC REVIEW: Fuzon's Journey

The latest from this band is peppy and refreshing if not completely fresh

If you were expecting another Saawan from this band, you might be disappointed. But listen to Fuzon's latest album Journey for itself and you will find yourself enjoying the melodies.

The album is a good blend of guitar strings and heavy beats. Though the lyrics many not deserve any special mention, they are in fact quite nice. And though they may sound a little 'me too', they tend to be extremely soothing and simple. The songs Choo Lo and Atish o Aab are lyrically pleasant; like many other youthful songs they also have catchy lines and are full of energy.

Journey has 10 songs in all and except for one which stretches a bit too long, all others are lively, peppy and will bring a smile to your face.

It is a young album, with nothing too heavy. Though the first song might remind you of Saawan and might feel a little heavy, the rest won't. The songs are well arranged with slower tunes intercepted with fast peppier songs and will definitely not get you bored.

Some songs will even make you feel like dancing to them or at least tap your feet to the fast beats. For example, Dholna and Choo Lo are sure to add life to any evening when you just want to unwind and just be. The track Teri Yaadaan will remind you of the many Sukhbir numbers with its fast beats and pacy tune.

On the other hand Jo Dil Ne Kahaa and Abhi Hum Kahaan Hai are soft and slow. These tunes are hummable and will take you back to the '90s Indipop albums.

The last three songs Aatish o Aab, Paree and Choo Lo have very Pakistani overtones in the music. They are reminiscent of Ali Haider and Nazia Hassan days. The songs are peppy, very 'collegey' and very lively.

Verdict: This album will definitely not disappoint you. In fact, play it on a long drive with friends or just when you want to relax with a soda pop in your hand. The light music will pep up your mood for sure.
