MUSIC REVIEW: Ghatothkach
Many animation films are at par with live action feature films, and some even do better. But very few are able to match the music of a live action film. We decided to check out the score of Ghatothkach - Master of Magic.
Must Watch: The smooch in Ghatothkach!
The album starts off with the title song, Main Hoon Ghatothkach, doing the rounds on TV and radio these days. It begins with a bang and is catchy from the word GO. Child artiste Shravan has sung it in an endearing way, going with the character’s image that the makers have tried to create.
FIRST LOOK: Ghatothkach is here!
Maya Bazaar is a fun dance number, sung by Daler Mehndi and Sudesh Bhonsle, with a bhangra touch to it. Kids will like Sameer's lyrics in this one.
Natnaagar Ki Hai Saari Leela is a devotional number rendered by Mahalakshmi Iyer effectively. It's a typical bhajan, telling us the story of Lord Krishna. The song takes us on a different plane altogether and sets the mood for prayer.
Now since it's out that Ghatothkach is not just a kiddie film but has a love story in it, it becomes mandatory to have a few ballads. [READ DIRECTOR'S INTERVIEW] Main Yahan Tu Wahaan fills the gap for it. Although there's nothing extraordinary in the composition, the romantic voices of Shreya Ghoshal and Shaan make the song a pleasure to listen to. All the elements of a youth and a first-time love are in place.
