TV REVIEW: Rakhi Sawant Showz

For a change, here's one show that's truly 'the first of its kind'

Just what do you say about Rakhi Sawant? She is outrageous, ridiculous and publicity hungry? Well let's face a few things despite whatever you may say about her, you simply cannot ignore her.

The audiences may love or hate her. But news channels most certainly love her (one of them even aired a prime time show with Rakhi on the budget day) and it seems like Zoom has bagged this hot property at the right time.

Yes, it is an achievement of sorts to have Rakhi Sawant on board. She's someone who doesn't have an issue being who she is and that's enough to get the eyeballs.

The Rakhi Sawant Showz premiered on Zoom on July 12. And it was a splitting image of its host. If you are one of those who don't mind Rakhi Sawant's antics, chances are that you wouldn't miss this show for anything.

Indeed it is outrageous, almost ridiculous and bordering on being stupid. But isn't that what television has become these days?

Very honestly given an option between a saas-bahu serial and this show, one would blindly switch to the latter. It's not because The Rakhi Sawant Showz is any better or worse. But rather it's just such a novelty that it will last till such a time that you get bored of it.

Then again, it's Rakhi Sawant we are talking about here. Ekta Kapoor might run out of ideas, but Rakhi who has made a living out of just being famous may just single-handedly beat Ekta's entire creative team.

Sitting in the line of fire in the first episode of The Rakhi Sawant Showz (there seems to be some discrepancy in the spelling of 'Showz' which is alternatively spelt as 'Shows') was Aamir Khan.

Really happy 4 rakhi ....N really want to tell those who r so called well educated n think that they r cool.....Sensible...That they really need to think now that why they r nt given chance to come on such big show on fashion n style tv like zoom...So better u dont make fun of her n hate her n ....U r too daring

If this show was that important how come it is slotted at 7.30 pm on a saturday/ only losers stay at home and watch tv at that time
