Chaos at 'Dasavathaaram' music launch

Politics and films – if a dividing line exists between the two, here in Chennai it is very thin. We were to learn this at the music launch of Kamal Haasan's Dasavathaaram. It was with much anticipation and excitement that a huge contingent of media persons from Mumbai boarded the flight to Chennai on April 25, 2008. But we were to realise that the flight's 40-minute delay was only the beginning of our troubles. Tamil Nadu CM Karunanidhi was to attend the function and his security personnel were all over the place. Huge life-size posters of Kamal Haasan were all over Chennai. As we got closer to the venue, the number of posters increased and so did the crowd. The kind of adulation these people shower on their stars is to be seen to be believed. The event had started on time at 5 pm IST, laser show and all, in the Nehru Stadium. But little did we know, what awaited us there. Thanks to the flight delay, we were stranded outside along with the rest of the star struck fans. |

He’s very well known in many other of the 29 countries filled with his fan clubs. And one big thing. Rajni doesn’t advertize himself in the media.

Karunanidhi was talking abt kamal and jackie chan and not politics. Majority of the audience were tamils so there is no surprise that most talks were in tamil. I felt that jackie should have been given a translator. He was smiling all the way. Very simple man, he took the trash after unveiling the cd. This reporter is mad because he wasnt allowed inside. Ofcourse the rights were sold to a private channel. This fellow needs to learn how to report.
The article writer did not tell how much effort taken by kamal and his crew to make this film. Arey bhai dont you know the music director of the film is himesh. Cant you mention that. You mentioned about all unwanted things...First why you went for a place where you are not invited....Guys never compare rajini and kamal. Both are totally different in their specialities...
In chennai,you have to speak in tamil only.I dont know whether people of mumbai speaks french in film functions instead of hindi/marathi. Editor please explain to me
