FIRST LOOK: EK Khiladi... 2.0
|
Bollywood wants a piece of the animation pie and is moving towards it full throttle. Pritish Nandy is trying to revive old films in a new format. PNC will animate three of their full-scale feature films including EK Khiladi EK Haseena. These films will be released not as a sequel but as Version 2. The animation part will be taken care of by US based Motion Pixel Corporation. And with adult content peppering these films, they aren't bothered with calling these flicks children's entertainment. What attracted the biggest of commercial entertainers to invest enormous time and money into this relatively new genre? Says Pritish Nandy of PNC, "We're so happy with the way our first animated film EKEH2 has turned out that we've planned to release six animation flicks over the next three years. We strongly believe that the market for animated films is huge. There are other players as well but we are not looking at kidding around with dogs and cats and mice. We are looking at serious films." |
