Filmmakers continue to adapt literature on celluloid

Many a Hindi film has been inspired from literature. And as we move further into 21st century, cinema seems to derive more and more inspiration from books we might or might not have read. Sometimes, one might even find that they haven't heard of the book until it gets adapted to a movie. No doubt, books get more mileage from commercial cinema these days than they would on their own accord. Here's a list of popular movies that have derived their inspiration from the pages of literature.
