Top 10 screen prostitutes

Playing a prostitute can be quite a challenge, especially when you are a leading actress

Kareena Kapoor in Chameli

The Plot:
Chameli is sold to a brothel by her uncle at an age when she would have otherwise been playing with dolls. She is now a street-smart prostitute (a la Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman). It's a story about two strangers Chameli and Aman (a rich investment banker) who meet on a rainy night and end up sharing the story of their lives, hinting a spark of romance between two people coming from two different worlds.

The Climax:
It was not like there was no love lost between Chameli and Aman, but unlike Pretty Woman where in the end 'the little princess does get rescued by the knight', this one ends on a sour note. The next morning Chameli goes back to her brothel.

Kareena Kapoor won a Filmfare Special Performance Award for the same.

kareena: Do I look Anorexic?

The climax is wrong. Chameli goes to the brothel the next morning only to be found by aman.

Don't be rude or interrupt others who are having a conversation. Ethnic slurs, personal insults and abuses are rather uncool. Criticise, but know where to draw the line. No point putting in personal details or links, we won't publish them. Try and write in English and please, stick to the point!
