The finale of Idea Dhoom Macha De, held at Yash Raj Studios on May 9 was definitely a star-studded affair. As the polls closed at 9.30 pm sharp, an air of anticipation was around as contestants, judges and the audience wondered who would be crowned Best Live Performer 2008.

The finalists - Richa Sharma, Devang Patel and Jaspinder Narula were definitely nervous but ready to accept their fate in good spirit.

Well, the verdict is out and Jaspinder Narula was awarded Best Live Performer this season. And it was none other than Rani Mukerji who felicitated her. Also present were all the contestants including Sunita Rao, Baba Saigal and Babul Supriyo...

Jaspinder, do extend an open thanks to punjab, punjabis, and especially all sikh brothers & sisters (as you assertained a day before the grand finale that you are a proud sikhni); they escalated you to this position.
