Dutt goes the Shah Rukh way
Now darlings, if you thought Shah Rukh or Abhishek was the cameo king, you guessed right. Cameos these days are popular PR mechanisms in themselves. A couple of days of work and the director becomes your friend for life. And cameos keep the star alive in the minds of the audience. Bachchan also does these cameos from time to time. He did it in Paheli for his one-time friend SRK and also in Ramji Londonwaley.
Sanjay Dutt seems to have wisened up a little late in the day. But better late than never! Dutt will be seen in a small role in Super Star. This role, however insignificant, is Dutt’s first screen appearance in 2008. According to sources, it was proving a bit difficult to sell the film with Kunal Khemu in the lead role. So Dutt being the good Samaritan that he is, decided to step in and do the needful. This proved to be a bit of a bonus as a host of minor celebrities agreed to step in after Dutt’s appearance. However, the director Rohit Jugraj insists that there were no monetary issues. Let’s wait and watch…
