Long long ago, sometime in the '80s when Madhuri Dixit was not a star she was supposed to act in a serial titled Mr Yogi. The serial was directed by Ketan Mehta of Mangal Pandey fame and the cinematography was by Anil Mehta, the director of Aaja Nachle. But between the time Madhuri signed up for the project and the shooting began, she had become a big star.
Very gracefully Madhuri opted out of the serial. But destiny ruled otherwise. Two decades later she has done one of the most important films of her career with Anil Mehta. Let's hope Aaja Nachle doesn't suffer the same ignominy as Mr Yogi.
