Amber Dhara

Full credit to Sony for coming out with innovative story ideas for new serials. The latest and much-publicised one is Amber Dhara, a story of conjoined twins with completely different personalities.

It may seem like a usual story, but the first few episodes have turned out quite well, with a realistic approach to the way the story flows. There is no rona-dhona, and the story has moved forward quickly. Of course, since the love angle has been brought in pretty soon, there is bound to be a lot of masala in the forthcoming episodes. We just hope it doesn't get to being the same ol' sobbing soap opera – something that happened to a promising show like Kkusum.

Interestingly, just like Jassi, the two lead actresses call themselves Amber and Dhara in public and their real names have not been revealed. They have convincing performances, while Mona Ambegaonkar (mother) and Gufi Paintal (grandpa) shine in their roles.

Don't be rude or interrupt others who are having a conversation. Ethnic slurs, personal insults and abuses are rather uncool. Criticise, but know where to draw the line. No point putting in personal details or links, we won't publish them. Try and write in English and please, stick to the point!
