Sanjana stays with her parents and her elder sister Roopa lives in the USA with her husband and child. The parents are on the lookout for a suitable groom for Sanjana and Roopa suggests the name of Prem, a businessman who has made his life in the USA. Prem is also extremely rich. He plans to set up a factory in Sanjana’s hometown.

Sanjana’s father goes to the station to receive Prem (Hrithik Roshan). Her mother literally forces Sanjana into the stranger’s arms. After getting to know each other, the couple fall in love.

When Prem is out of town on some business, Roopa calls home again and informs her parents that Prem is yet to go to India. The shocked parents want to know who had arrived at their place. They find out that he is Prem Kishen while the guy Roopa had selected for Sanjana is Prem Kumar (Abhishek Bachchan).

Sanjana’s mom is totally insensitive and is very clear that Sanjana should stop going around with Prem Kishen and now get to know the other guy. Prem Kumar arrives along with his mother (Reema Lagoo) and secretary (Johnny Lever). The whole cycle begins again when Sanjana’s mom throws the couple together and keeps sending them out on dates. Sanjana does find Prem Kumar a nice person and is quite happy to have him for a friend. But she’s shocked when she finds out that her mother intends her to marry the new Prem now. Over and above, Prem Kishen returns and once he realises that his boss is in love with Sanjana, he goes out of his way to encourage him. Will Sanjana ever find happiness?

Somehow the movie lacked that magic

This is the same old tragedy story, dont know how this will move in the current society, there is nothing new in the story..
