Jazz or Jasmeet Malhotra (Katrina Kaif) is second-generation Indian living in London. She’s extremely modern and leads a highflying life. But her father, Manmohan (Rishi Kapoor), has totally different ideas. He wants her to marry an Indian. He takes his wife and daughter to India and gets Jazz forcibly married to Arjun Singh (Akshay Kumar), a farmer who can barely converse in English. When the family gets back to London, Jazz announces that she plans to get married to Londoner Charles Brown and refuses to recognise her marriage to Arjun saying that there is no proof. What transpires is one long laugh riot as Jazz tries to escape her Indian marriage while Arjun tries to win her love.
