Seeta Aur Geeta
Seeta and Geeta (Hema Malini in a double role) are twins born into a rich family. But they are orphaned and separated at birth. Geeta grows up in a poor neighbourhood and has a foster mother. She grows up to become a street performer and is quite gutsy. Seeta, on the other hand grows up at her uncle’s home. Her aunt, the cruel chachi, puts up with her for the income that comes from the money that is held in trust for Seeta when she grows up. Seeta leads a miserable life as she is treated like a slave by both her aunt and cousin.

One fine day, Seeta decides that life is not worth living and leaves home to commit suicide. She’s saved, but is taken to Geeta’s home by mistake. Seeta settles down to a quiet life in her new home and helps her mother, much to the latter's surprise. All this while, Seeta’s aunt and uncle search for her and find Geeta. They try taking her home, but she escapes. She meets Ravi (Sanjeev Kumar) and the two fall in love. He knows her as Seeta.
Thus, the twin sisters exchange lives and go on till it is time for Geeta to go back to uncle and aunt as Seeta. What does she find there? Does she put up with her aunt’s cruelties?

Geeta has always performed on the streets with Raka (Dharmendra). But now Seeta refuses to do all that and appears quite domesticated, much to Raka’s shock. He also finds himself attracted to her. Will he ever find the truth?
